DELAYED +1yr (Apr 2026): COD/full_power was set to 2029-12-01 for Delivery of DC Grid Readiness. TenneT’s current 2GW Program overview instead lists IJmuiden Ver Beta with a planned commissioning year of 2030, implying at least a one‑year delay. Export cable works are also reported to run 2027–2030, matching a 2030 completion window. The 2029 COD is therefore no longer realistic; shifting COD to 2030 aligns with TenneT’s updated schedule. --- Planning documents for IJmuiden Ver Beta indicate that delivery of DC grid readiness and commissioning of the 2 GW HVDC grid connection to Maasvlakte is expected on 1 December 2029, by which time the link should be fully operational to transmit power from the IJmuiden Ver Beta wind farm zone into the Dutch high-voltage network.
