Description
Under the ~EUR 13 billion framework agreement signed 20 April 2023, Hitachi Energy was selected by TenneT to supply HVDC Light converter technology for IJmuiden Ver Alpha, the first project under the framework. Hitachi Energy's scope covers the design and manufacture of the 2 GW, 525 kV HVDC converter systems for both the offshore converter platform and the onshore converter station at Borssele, converting AC to DC offshore and DC to AC onshore.
