Description
Equinor Energy AS awarded Seaway 7, the renewables and heavy-lifting business unit of Subsea 7, a contract for subsea cable installation on Hywind Tampen. Seaway 7 is responsible for installing eleven inner-array cables and two export cables, and for connecting the electrical system between the floating turbines and the Snorre and Gullfaks oil and gas platforms. The scope covers offshore installation, laying and pull-in of the 66 kV dynamic inter-array cables and static export cables fabricated by JDR, along with final terminations on the platforms. This work forms the core of the project’s subsea cable installation during the construction phase.
