Goodtech delivered the employer SCADA and control system for the Hywind Tampen floating offshore wind farm for monitoring and control from Equinor’s wind control room. The scope included design of a high-availability control room technology, network and infrastructure; integration of third-party systems across the floating wind turbines, oil & gas power management systems, and cloud-based systems; and implementation of cyber-security principles for secure data flow. Goodtech also delivered turbine-level control systems and cabinets on each floating wind turbine to interface local switchgear and third-party instruments and to support stability and power distribution control. A managed services agreement was established to support operations and continuous improvement of the delivered solution.
