On 14 March 2023, Equinor awarded Ocean Installer a contract on Hywind Tampen to transport and install five 2.5-kilometre dynamic inter-array cables in 260–300 metre water depths, connecting existing turbines to four new turbines being installed and commissioned in 2023 to bring the floating wind farm up to its full 88 MW capacity.
