In July 2022, the first Hywind Tampen floating wind turbine was towed from the Norwegian construction base to the offshore site about 140 kilometres off the coast between the Snorre and Gullfaks platforms, marking the start of offshore installation activities for the 11‑turbine floating wind farm.
