On 31 October 2019, Equinor announced that Norwegian authorities, through Enova, had committed up to NOK 2.3 billion in public funding for the Hywind Tampen floating wind project, providing capital support to enable the pioneering development aimed at cutting CO2 emissions from the Snorre and Gullfaks fields.
