Subsea7 Ltd commenced installation of the Hywind Scotland infield and export cables in mid-July 2017, using a dedicated cable-laying vessel followed by burial with a Q1400 trenching system. The campaign lasted approximately five weeks, covering the 33 kV export cable from turbine HS5 to the Peterhead landfall and all inter-array cables. The project achieved commercial operation in October 2017.
