Energinet and Statnett are jointly investigating a new hybrid interconnector between Denmark and Norway that will connect offshore wind areas near a planned Danish North Sea energy island with the Norwegian Sørvest F area, adding an additional power market link between the two countries. According to the current plan, and subject to positive feasibility conclusions and further detailed analyses, the connection is aimed to be ready and in operation by 2035 at the earliest.
