Transportation and subsea installation of a new 110 kV HVAC submarine cable system along the Travna (Hvar) – Slatina (Korčula) route as part of a wider Croatian island-link cable replacement programme.
Asso.subsea carried out the transportation and offshore installation of 110 kV submarine power cables for the Croatian transmission system operator HOPS, under a project delivered in collaboration with contractor Končar. The scope covered four 110 kV cable systems, including the southern Travna–Slatina route that forms the Hvar–Korčula island-link. Asso.subsea’s work included laying and installing the new 110 kV cable along the seabed, managing challenging nearshore pull-ins at landfalls, and executing multiple consecutive landing operations using its cable laying vessel Atalanti. The activities formed part of a wider programme to replace existing submarine links between the Croatian islands.
