Description
Visser & Smit Marine Contracting/VBMS was contracted to install the ABB-supplied 132 kV offshore export cables for the Humber Gateway transmission link. Between October and December 2013 the company carried out the main subsea cable-laying campaign, laying the two parallel subsea export cables along the route between the landfall and the offshore substation location and positioning their offshore ends near the offshore platform. This work completed the installation of the offshore export cable system that forms part of the Humber Gateway OFTO assets.
