In 2015, a geophysical survey of the seabed in the Horns Rev 3 project area, including the offshore wind farm site and planned export cable corridor, was carried out and led to the discovery of three unexploded naval mines. The survey mapped seabed conditions to support detailed design and routing of foundations and the export cable system, and its findings directly informed later clearance activities.
