On 7 December 2006, Nexans signed a turnkey contract with Danish TSO Energinet.dk to deliver and install the 42 km, 170 kV AC XLPE three-core submarine export cable, including fibre-optic element, for Dong Energy’s Horns Rev 2 offshore wind farm, with a contract value of about €30 million covering supply, transport, laying and termination, and manufacturing at Nexans’ Halden, Norway plant.
