Cable Repair

Following the 19 October 2015 export cable fault that shut down the Horns Rev 2 wind farm, Energinet.dk located the fault on the 42 km export cable between the offshore substation and Blåvand, Jutland, and began planning a repair campaign to restore the grid connection. At the time of reporting, the transmission operator stated it was too early to determine the cause of the error or when the cable would return to service.
