As part of an approximately €600 million consortium contract for the HelWin2 project awarded by TenneT, Siemens Energy was selected to supply the 690 MW HVDC Plus voltage-sourced converter system, providing converter equipment on the HelWin Beta offshore platform and at the onshore Büttel converter station to transmit power from the Amrumbank West wind park to the German grid.
