On 2 August 2011, TenneT awarded Prysmian a contract worth in excess of €200 million for the HelWin2 grid connection, covering the complete supply, installation and commissioning of the ±320 kV HVDC submarine and land cable system (about 85 km sea route plus 45 km land route) to the Büttel converter station, as well as 155 kV HVAC submarine cables linking the Amrumbank West offshore wind park transformer to the HelWin Beta offshore converter platform.
