In February 2021, UK energy regulator Ofgem accepted an Exceptional Event claim submitted by Gwynt y Môr OFTO plc in relation to an export cable failure that occurred in October 2020 on subsea export cable 3 of the Gwynt y Môr offshore transmission system, formally recognising the associated Transmission Services Reduction under the OFTO regulatory framework.
