Siemens Energy and Sumitomo Electric were selected as the EPC consortium responsible for delivering Greenlink’s two HVDC converter stations. The project uses HVDC voltage-source-converter (VSC) technology to link the two systems; the consortium appointment covered engineering, supply and installation activities for the converter halls, transformers, switchgear and associated ancillary plant as part of the EPC scope.
