HSM Offshore Energy leads the HSI joint venture (with Smulders/Eiffage Metal and Iv-Offshore and Energy) on the EPCIC contract awarded by 50Hertz and Skyborn Renewables in December 2022 for the OST-6-1 grid connection. The HSI consortium is responsible for engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of three topsides and their jackets serving the OST-6-1 system (combined transmission capacity 927 MW, supporting the 50Hertz transmission network in northern Germany's Baltic Sea region). Per the windtech-international project report on the OSS Zingst rollout: the Zingst topside measures 48 × 33 × 17.5 metres and weighs ~4,700 tonnes, and once installed will "collect and transform up to 450 MW of electricity generated by the Gennaker Offshore Wind Farm". Fabrication is performed at consortium yards in the Netherlands (HSM Schiedam) and Belgium (Smulders). Rollout milestones: OSS Darß topside in October 2025, OSS Zingst topside in February 2026.
