The Gemini project secured a grid connection point with Dutch TSO TenneT near Eemshaven, enabling the 220 kV export cables from the two offshore high-voltage substations to feed into an onshore land station where voltage is stepped up to 380 kV for injection into TenneT’s high-voltage grid. This connection agreement underpins the transmission system for the 600 MW Gemini wind park, ensuring that power transported via the long AC export cables can be delivered into the national network.
