Schleswig-Holstein Netz (SH Netz) stated in an official HanseWerk press release dated 5 August 2024 that, after completing jointing works and tests, the new Föhr sea cables will be energized within 2024: "Nach mehreren Tests und Messungen werden die neuen Seekabel dieses Jahr noch in Betrieb gehen." Based on this guidance, commercial operations at full power are projected to commence by the end of 2024.
