Description
Hellenic Cables SA was selected by IPTO S.A. to deliver the Mantoudi–Skiathos 150 kV interconnection. The approximately EUR 42.8 million contract covers the design, supply and installation of the high‑voltage cable system, including a roughly 30 km 150 kV HVAC submarine cable between Evia (Mantoudi) and Skiathos and associated underground cable sections on Evia and the island. The scope includes engineering and manufacturing of the submarine cable, delivery of the underground cables, subsea installation at water depths up to about 400 m, and connection of the cable system into the 150 kV transmission network. This work formed the main cabling package for the Skiathos–Evia electrical interconnection, providing a firm mainland grid connection for Skiathos and the wider Northern Sporades island group.
