Description
Aker Solutions, in consortium with Siemens Energy, signed an EPCI contract with ScottishPower Renewables to design and deliver the HVDC converter stations for the East Anglia THREE project, including an offshore HVDC converter station and an onshore converter station. Aker Solutions’ scope included detailed design engineering (executed from its Reading, UK engineering office). Aker Solutions later reported it had delivered early-phase engineering, procurement, fabrication and commissioning for the offshore HVDC converter station (topsides), which was installed offshore in 2025.
