On 12 August 2019, Macquarie’s Green Investment Group agreed to acquire a 40% equity stake in the 714 MW East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm from ScottishPower Renewables, Iberdrola’s UK subsidiary. The agreement, which valued the entire wind farm at £4.1 billion, provides that Iberdrola will retain a 60% majority share and receive £1.63 billion for the 40% stake when the wind farm is operational, with completion subject to customary conditions including Crown Estate consent.
