Navantia S.A. was selected by the EA1 developer as the main contractor for the single East Anglia ONE offshore substation (OFSS), which forms a key part of the East Anglia ONE offshore transmission assets. The contract scope covered the supply, fabrication and commissioning of the jacket foundation, piles and topside, including the low-voltage electrical systems and load-out of the platform. This work delivered the project’s sole offshore HVAC substation that steps up power from the wind farm’s 66 kV array system to 220 kV for export to shore, supporting the construction and energisation of the East Anglia ONE OFTO grid connection.
