DELAYED +5yr (Apr 2026): TenneT’s May 2023 2 GW cable framework said offshore cable laying for all 2 GW links, incl. Doordewind 2 to Eemshaven, would be in 2026. The 2024 Development Framework moves Doordewind Site II to a later phase beyond the 21 GW‑by‑2032 roadmap, allowing only preparatory work. With marine route, geotech and UXO surveys running 2025–26, a 2026 cable‑lay start is no longer credible, so I shift start to c.2031 (year‑level), noting 2026 as the earlier target. --- As part of TenneT’s 2 GW offshore grid programme and a multi-year framework contract under which NKT will realise the cable connections for Doordewind 1 and Doordewind 2 landing at Eemshaven, offshore export cable laying for these projects is planned to begin in 2026, in line with the programme-wide schedule that foresees offshore cable laying activities starting that year.
