Dutch TSO TenneT plans to complete the full Doordewind offshore grid connection infrastructure, comprising two 2 GW HVDC systems with offshore platforms, export cable systems running via the North Sea, beneath Schiermonnikoog and across the Wadden Sea, and two onshore converter stations at Eemshaven, by 2033. This milestone represents the scheduled completion of all transmission assets needed to connect the 4 GW Doordewind wind farm zone to the national electricity grid.
