Marine subcontractor performing the actual installation and underwater inspection of the two 8.5 km subsea cables between Killingholmen and Donsö.
Dyk och Sjöentreprenad acted as marine installation subcontractor to Kraftringen Service for the Billdal–Donsö subsea connection. The company provided the barge and pontoons, which were towed by a tug while laying the 24 kV Nexans cables at 0.5–1 knots along the seabed. Its team handled the pull‑out of cable from the shoreline pipes, seabed placement of each 1,000 m drum length, and supported Kraftringen’s jointing operations between drums. Dyk och Sjöentreprenad’s divers also performed detailed underwater inspections of the installed cables, checking for sharp rocks, repositioning sections where necessary, and adding protective sleeves at vulnerable points to ensure safe long‑term operation of the new island supply link.
