According to IPTO’s Ten-Year Network Development Plans, the Dodecanese interconnection, including the Phase A Kos–Rhodes segment linked to the mainland via the Corinth–Kos HVDC corridor, was initially planned for completion in 2027. More recent reporting on the Dodecanese project timeline, which breaks the scheme into a first phase and a second phase covering the Rhodes–Kos–Kalymnos section, now indicates that this Rhodes–Kos phase – and thus the Kos–Rhodes interconnection – is scheduled to be completed in 2028, at which point the link is expected to be fully operational at its intended capacity.
