Phase B of the Cyclades Interconnection, including the 150 kV AC submarine cable links Paros–Naxos and Naxos–Mykonos and the new GIS substation on Naxos, was completed with the interconnection of Naxos to the Hellenic high-voltage transmission system in September 2020, marking the start of full commercial operation of the Naxos–Paros link within the mainland grid. The completion was confirmed by IPTO and followed by an inaugural ceremony in Naxos highlighting the energised connections and the upgrade of the wider Cyclades network.
