On 21 November 2014, the European Commission approved state aid (case SA.35695) for the Greek transmission system operator ADMIE S.A. to construct the Cyclades interconnection system, comprising Phases A, B and C; Phase B includes connecting Naxos to Paros and Paros to Mykonos via 150 kV submarine cables and building a 150/20 kV substation on Naxos, thereby covering the Naxos–Paros interconnector within the aid decision.
