On 19 October 2020, Phase B of the Cyclades interconnection, including the 150 kV AC tripolar submarine cable link between Paros and Naxos and the parallel Naxos–Mykonos link, was officially completed and inaugurated in Naxos. Hellenic Cables, awarded the contract by IPTO in 2018, had designed, manufactured, installed, protected, terminated and tested approximately 52 km of 150 kV XLPE submarine cables with integrated fibre optics for these connections, with manufacturing carried out at its Corinth plant, marking the completion of submarine cable installation for the Paros–Naxos interconnector segment within Phase B.
