The Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO) confirmed that the new 150 kV AC submarine interconnection between Evia and Andros, together with the associated Andros–Tinos and Naxos Phase B works, is co‑financed by European Union and Greek state funds, with both projects together budgeted at about EUR 70 million. This capital support underpins the subsidised upgrade of the Livadi (South Evia)–Andros link, replacing older oil‑filled cables to strengthen the Cyclades North Corridor supply.
