Prysmian Group successfully completed the submarine cable laying operations for the interconnections between the Greek islands of Evia, Andros and Tinos, under a €21 million contract awarded by IPTO. The work included water installation using Prysmian’s cable-laying vessel Cable Enterprise, reaching a depth of 550 m on the Evia–Andros link and employing the first non-metallic armoured cable based on high modulus synthetic fibres.
