Radial supply of Paros from Syros, with a submarine tripolar 150 kV AC cable of a rated ~140 MVA capacity and length of about 46 km, delivered under Group B of the Cyclades Phase A project.
Hellenic Cables served as the main contractor for Group B of IPTO’s Cycladic Islands Interconnection Phase A, responsible for constructing the 150 kV AC submarine cable links between Syros–Paros, Syros–Mykonos and Syros–Tinos. For the Syros–Paros radial, Hellenic Cables designed, manufactured and installed approximately 46 km of three‑phase 150 kV submarine cable to provide the high‑voltage grid connection that supplies Paros (and downstream islands) from the mainland system via Syros. The turnkey scope formed part of IPTO’s 2015–2017 Phase A construction programme, co‑financed by European and national funds, and included the full offshore cable system delivery and commissioning for this island interconnection.
