Around 2007, following approval of the project’s preliminary environmental assessment, the project promoter announced that in the coming weeks it would submit to ΥΠΕΧΩΔΕ the study required for the issuance of the Environmental Terms (ΕΠΟ) for the Cyclades interconnection, including the links of Syros, Paros–Naxos and Mykonos. This planned submission concerned the full environmental study needed to secure environmental terms for the project’s implementation.
