European Investment Bank (EIB) debt financing and co‑financing from the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) were secured for the Cycladic Islands Interconnection project, including the 150 kV Syros–Paros submarine cable built under Phase A. The overall interconnection budget for these works is reported at about €250–264 million, with the EIB providing loan funding alongside NSRF/EU structural funds to enable engineering, procurement and construction of the Lavrio–Syros backbone and the Syros–Paros, Syros–Mykonos and Syros–Tinos radial links.
