In summer 2020, Jan De Nul's cable-laying vessel Isaac Newton began installation of the submarine HVAC cables for the Crete-Peloponnese interconnection, the first subsea power link between Crete and mainland Greece. Prysmian supplied and installed the cable system at record depths exceeding 900 metres.
