Installation of the 110 kV Cres–Lošinj (Osor Bay) HVAC submarine cable, including shore pull‑ins and HDD at the landfalls, within the Adriatic Interconnections Project II
Asso.subsea carried out transportation and installation of new 110 kV cable systems in Croatia for main contractor Končar, on behalf of HOPS, as part of the Adriatic Interconnections Project II. The scope covered four submarine cable systems, including the Osor Bay crossing between Cres and Lošinj. Asso.subsea installed the new 3×630 mm² 110 kV submarine cable replacing the existing Cres–Lošinj link, undertook challenging onshore pull‑ins and HDD works at the landfalls, and managed steep nearshore slopes using custom‑designed rollers. For the Cres–Lošinj segment, Asso.subsea installed roughly 0.4 km of submarine cable, restoring and modernising the short island‑link interconnection.
