Designer Group

Designer Group was awarded a contract on the Celtic Interconnector project to work alongside Siemens Energy in delivering the converter station infrastructure. The Irish M&E contractor provides engineering, design, mechanical and electrical services for the two onshore HVDC converter stations in Ireland (Ballyadam) and France (La Martyre), covering both detailed design coordination of building services and installation/integration of key systems required to operate the 700 MW HVDC link. Designer Group's role sits within Siemens Energy's wider EPC delivery of the converter stations, spanning design through to on-site installation and commissioning support.
