Commercial Operations Full Power

The Capri–Torre Annunziata 150 kV HVAC submarine cable and associated Capri substation entered operation in 2017, becoming the first undersea power link to Capri and the initial section of Terna’s 160 MW Capri–mainland electricity ring. This 31 km connection between Capri and Torre Annunziata, developed under Terna’s Insula project, was completed and went into service that year, significantly improving the island’s security and reliability of supply ahead of the later Capri–Sorrento link.
