Terna completed one of the most critical parts of the new 150 kV Sorrento–Capri interconnector: the laying of the submarine cable connecting the new electrical substation under construction on the Sorrento peninsula with the substation on Capri. This subsea section, approximately 16 km of the total 19 km link (16 km marine and 3 km terrestrial), is a key component of the project to complete Capri’s ring connection to the Italian national transmission grid and improve the security and efficiency of the island’s electricity supply.
