DONG Energy awarded ABB a contract worth around USD 30 million to design, engineer, supply and commission the high‑voltage export cable system for the Burbo Bank Extension project, including a 25 km 220 kV AC submarine export cable, related offshore substation cable, and 32 km of underground onshore cables with joints, accessories and terminations, forming the main transmission link from the offshore substation to the onshore grid connection.
