Description
In October 2008, Wirral Installations (working in partnership with Norgate Telecom) was awarded a direct contract by DONG Energy Denmark to support fibre optic cable splicing, testing and connector conversion works associated with the Burbo Bank offshore wind farm. The work included offshore visits to each of the 25 wind turbines for designated fibre optic splicing activities and connector conversion at the Wallasey substation, followed by testing and certification.
