Description
In October 2008, Norgate Telecom was awarded a direct contract by DONG Energy Denmark (working in partnership with Wirral Installations) to carry out fibre optic cable splicing, testing and connector conversion works associated with the Burbo Bank offshore wind farm. The scope included travelling by sea to each of the 25 wind turbines to complete designated fibre optic splices, and performing connector conversion works at the Wallasey substation, followed by a full testing procedure and certification.
