In 2020, French transmission system operator RTE, as owner of the Bretagne Sud grid connection that will serve the Pennavel floating wind farm, initiated a statutory Débat public (public debate) process led by the national Commission nationale du débat public (CNDP). This consultation gathered stakeholder and public input on the offshore and onshore grid connection scheme for the shared 750 MW Bretagne Sud platform that will connect Pennavel and a future neighbouring floating wind project.
