Statnett reached the investment decision for the Indre Oslofjord reinforcement project, including the replacement 420 kV sea cable link between Solberg and Brenntangen, in September 2014. The decision covered reinvestment in two new 420 kV subsea cable systems on the Filtvet–Brenntangen and Solberg–Brenntangen routes, with removal of the existing assets, at an expected cost of 1,109 million NOK, enabling construction works to start in 2015.
