Nexans Norway AS began offshore installation of the first seven 420 kV subsea cables between Solberg (Hurum) and Brenntangen in Indre Oslofjord for Statnett, as part of replacing aging 1958 and 1975-era cables. The new cables for this section were installed in early summer, with the cable installation campaign for this phase completed by mid-June, after which seabed protection and burial with a subsea excavator followed.
