Bohlen & Doyen (a subsidiary of Friedrich Vorwerk Group SE) signed a contract with cable manufacturer Nexans to realise the BorWin6 onshore underground cable connection from the landfall at Büsum, Schleswig-Holstein, to the future converter station in Büttel. The contracted onshore section was described as approximately 45 km long and included trenchless horizontal directional drilling (HDD) for crossings along the route. The order value was described as being in the mid two-digit million range (currency not stated).
