TenneT’s Borssele Beta offshore grid connection reached financial close in late October 2017, triggering the option on the export cable contract initially linked to Borssele Alpha and enabling NKT, in consortium with Boskalis subsidiary VBMS, to proceed with supplying and installing 138 km of 220 kV AC submarine export cables for the connection of the Borssele 3 & 4 wind farms to the Dutch onshore grid.
